1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

Red Mile Records Inc. is committed to ensuring that our website, www.redmilerecords.com, is accessible to the widest possible audience, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that everyone — regardless of ability — deserves equal access to information about our studio, services, and booking process.

This accessibility statement applies to the following website and all pages it contains:

This statement does not apply to third-party websites or services linked from our website, including but not limited to Setmore (booking), Formspree (contact form), Google Maps, or any social media platforms.

3. Conformance Status

The website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, primarily due to third-party embed limitations described below.

3.1 What We Have Done

In building and maintaining this website, we have implemented the following accessibility features across all pages:

• Skip to main content link: A keyboard-accessible "skip to content" link appears at the top of every page, allowing keyboard users to bypass the navigation and jump directly to the main content.
• Semantic HTML structure: We use appropriate HTML5 landmark elements (<header>, <main>, <nav>, <footer>, <article>, <section>) to ensure clear document structure for assistive technologies.
• One H1 per page: Every page has a single, descriptive H1 heading that accurately describes the page content.
• Descriptive alt text: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images use empty alt attributes (alt="") to be ignored by screen readers.
• Explicit image dimensions: All images include explicit width and height attributes to prevent layout shift (CLS) during load.
• Keyboard navigability: All interactive elements — navigation menus, buttons, links, and form fields — are accessible and operable using a keyboard alone.
• Sufficient colour contrast: Text and interactive element colours are chosen to meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, using our dark/light design system.
• Focus indicators: Visible focus styles are maintained for all keyboard-navigable elements.
• ARIA labels: ARIA attributes are used where necessary to provide additional context for screen reader users, including on navigation landmarks, buttons, and form controls.
• Form labels: All form fields are associated with descriptive labels. Error messages are clearly communicated to assistive technologies.
• Mobile and zoom support: The website is fully responsive and supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
• No auto-playing media: No audio or video content plays automatically without user initiation.
• Deferred JavaScript: Non-critical scripts are loaded with the defer attribute, ensuring page content is available before scripts execute.

4. Known Limitations — Third-Party Iframes

The following sections of our website contain third-party iframes or embedded content over which Red Mile Records Inc. has no direct control. The accessibility of these components is determined by the third-party providers, and we cannot guarantee their full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance:

• Setmore Booking Widget (/booking/): The Setmore scheduling embed is an iframe sourced from Setmore's servers. While Setmore states a commitment to accessibility, the specific interactive components within the iframe (calendar pickers, form fields, time slot selectors) are outside our control. Users who experience difficulty with the Setmore booking interface may book by contacting us directly at bookings@redmilerecords.com or calling (403) 969-9224.
• Google Maps Embed (/contact/): The Google Maps iframe on our contact page is outside our control. Users who require an accessible version of our address and location information can find our full address, phone number, and written directions on the Contact page without interacting with the map.
• Music Marketing Embed Widget (/services/music-marketing-calgary/): The interactive Spotify and YouTube promotion ordering widget on this page includes dynamically generated elements. Users who experience difficulty with this widget may contact us directly to discuss music marketing services.

5. Reporting Accessibility Issues
