How much does a recording session cost at Red Mile Records?
Session pricing at Red Mile Records varies depending on the type and length of your booking. We offer hourly rates as well as half-day and full-day packages for recording, podcast production, and mixing. How many songs can I record in a 2-hour session?
Most artists can comfortably track 2–3 songs in a 2-hour recording session at our Calgary studio, depending on the complexity of the arrangement and the number of takes required. For debut recordings or more intricate productions, we recommend booking a half-day or full-day session to allow time for tracking, comping, and file delivery without rushing the creative process.
Do you offer podcast studio rentals in Calgary?
Yes — Red Mile Records has a fully dedicated podcast studio in Calgary equipped with three Shure MV7X broadcast microphones, a RodeCaster Pro II, Apollo Twin interface, and professional acoustic treatment. We accommodate up to 4 guests simultaneously, with individual headphone monitoring for each person. Remote guest integration is also available for hybrid podcast recordings.
What's included in your mixing and mastering service?
Our Calgary mixing and mastering service includes a full stereo mix from your submitted tracks or stems, one round of revisions, and platform-ready master files optimized to Spotify's loudness standard (–14 LUFS integrated). Deliverables are provided in WAV (24-bit) and MP3 formats. Stem mastering and broadcast delivery formats are available upon request.
How long does mixing and mastering take?
Standard mixing turnaround at Red Mile Records is 5–7 business days per song, and mastering takes 2–3 business days per song after an approved mix is delivered. Rush delivery is available — contact us to discuss your release timeline and we'll do our best to accommodate urgent deadlines for Calgary artists and remote clients across Alberta.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No — Red Mile Records is a fully equipped professional recording studio in Calgary. We provide all microphones, preamps, headphones, and outboard gear needed for your session. If you play an instrument, bring it along; everything else is provided. For podcast sessions, all microphones and monitoring equipment are set up and ready for your arrival.
